Night transport

You live in the Upper Elbe region and want to go to an evening event in Dresden? You are a Dresdener and want to leave your car in Dresden Neustadt because it has been a long night at the pub? The VVO night transport services always take you home safely.

The VVO night ticket for just 7 Euros is a clever and inexpensive way to get home at night. It is valid from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. throughout the entire VVO region.

Since 2003 already, you can not only get through the city of Dresden safely at night, but also through the entire Upper Elbe region.

Trams, city buses and S-Bahn trains take you home every night. Or change to the eight regional bus routes that are operated during the nights to Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Their timetables are coordinated with the DVB “Postplatz interchange meetings” at 1:15 and 2:25 (except routes 321 and H/S, see below for details).

Night transport in Dresden

Dresden Transport (DVB) takes you home safely and conveniently every night. Night transport in Dresden is focused on the “Postplatz interchange meetings”. At several points of time during the night, trams and buses wait for five minutes at their Postplatz stops so to ensure that passengers can change to any other route.

Night transport in the Upper Elbe region

If you live on the outskirts of the city, you can also easily get back home from Dresden on Friday and Saturday nights and on the nights before public holidays.

Route 360 Dresden - Possendorf - Dippoldiswalde

At the three Postplatz interchange meetings at 0:15, 1:15 and 2:25, take tram 2, 4, 7 or 12 and alight at Pirnaischer Platz. There you can catch the bus to Bannewitz, Possendorf, Oberhäslich and Dippoldiswalde. Another bus departs when the trams from the 3:35 Postplatz interchange meeting have arrived at Pirnaischer Platz, but that bus terminates at Possendorf.

Route 333 Dresden - Kesselsdorf - Wilsdruff - Grumbach

At the two Postplatz interchange meetings at 1:15 and 2:25, take tram 2, 4 or 7 and alight at Pirnaischer Platz. There you can catch the bus to Kesselsdorf and Wilsdruff. The journey dep. 1:23 Pirnaischer Platz also goes on to Grumbach.

Route A Dresden - Freital

Take tram 7 from the Postplatz interchange meetings at 1.15 and 2.25 a.m. or tram 6 from Neustadt (leaves Albertplatz at 1.09 and 2.19 a.m.) and go to Dresden Löbtau (stop Tharandter Str.). There you can catch the bus to Freital-Potschappel, Freital-Deuben, Freital-Hainsberg, Freital-Coßmannsdorf.

Route H/S Dresden - Heidenau - Pirna

At the Postplatz interchange meeting at 2:25, take tram 2, 4 or 7 and alight at Pirnaischer Platz. There you can catch the bus to Heidenau, Pirna-Copitz West, Pirna- Busbahnhof and Pirna-Sonnenstein. If you want to go earlier, there are S-Bahn connections; the last train for Pirna departs at 1:03 at Dresden Hauptbahnhof (Dresden main station).

Route 411 Dresden - Weinböhla - Neusörnewitz - Meißen

At the two Postplatz interchange meetings at 1:15 and 2:25, take tram 4 and alight at Coswig Zentrum/Börse. There you can catch the bus to Meißen over Coswig, Brockwitz, Sörnewitz and Neusörnewitz. In Meißen the fixed-route taxi bus drops you off at your door (ask the bus driver to book).

Route 326 Dresden - Moritzburg - Radeburg

At the two Postplatz interchange meetings at 1:15 and 2:25, take tram 11 and alight at Dresden Neustadt station. There you can catch the bus to Boxdorf, Reichenberg, Moritzburg, Berbisdorf and Radeburg. 

Route 308 Dresden - Radeberg

At the two Postplatz interchange meetings at 1:15 and 2:25, take tram 7 and alight at Käthe-Kollwitz-Platz. There you can catch the bus to Langebrück, Liegau-Augustusbad and Radeberg.
Before, there are train connections to Langebrück and Radeberg.

Route 321 Dresden - Weixdorf - Hufen - Medingen - Ottendorf-Okrilla - Hermsdorf

At the Postplatz interchange meeting at 1:45, take tram 7 and alight at Käthe-Kollwitz-Platz. There you can catch the bus to Weixdorf, Hufen, Medingen, Ottendorf-Okrilla and Hermsdorf. Earlier journeys of the route 321 bus start when the no. 7 trams which start at 23:01 and 0:01 in Pennrich.
